Side note: What exactly is Somatic Therapy?

A Somatic Therapist tracks subconscious emotional patterns and nervous system states, going beyond talk therapy and tuning in to deeper states of being. Somatic Therapy is highly effective for addressing issues like PTSD, anxiety, and chronic pain by getting to the root of the problem and pinpointing the underlying drivers and unspoken needs that often coincide with traumatic memories or suppressed emotions.

Over time, trauma can become "stuck" in the body but can be accessed and addressed by using various mind-body techniques like massage, breathwork, intuitive movement, and guided meditation. By keeping the nervous system regulated and following threads of somatic information, the therapist can help the client safely re-experience broken or unfinished emotional "loops" in a safe and professional environment, allowing for closure and the ability to rewrite subconscious narratives.

I’ve always been obsessed with understanding the complex patterns of the human experience — how people relate to the environments around them, how they behave under pressure, and how desire and identity affect everyday choices. Becoming a bodyworker helped bring structure and clarity to that curiosity.
